Bai Cang Yi Introduction
The author’s self-statement: There is an old saying: "Rotted wood cannot be carved." As a child, while picking up rotting wood in the deep mountains and wilderness, I observed carefully, and the rotted wood soon transformed into an art form that is unique and embodies the traditional rustic beauty, while also possessing a modern artistic flair. The saying "rotted wood cannot be carved" does not apply to me at all; while others see rotted wood as garbage, I see it as treasure. The rooftop of my home is my treasure trove of rotted wood, where each piece I take is a unique sky sculpture. Everyone has their own aesthetic perspective; after treating the uniquely shaped rotted wood with high-pressure water treatment, it becomes a natural sculpture, reflecting my unique vision. My insistence on art is to casually pick up rotted wood without using a single knife or axe.
