Qikansculpture Park Introduction
The birthplace of martial arts, it witnesses the local history of Qikeng during the early development of Taiwan. In Xiluo, in order to protect their homeland, the area was divided into seven sections by village. The practice of martial arts was prevalent, and in 1996, a sculpture park was established to commemorate seven martial arts techniques through sculptures, serving as a record of local history. The founder of the Qikeng Martial Arts Academy, Master A-Shan, trained in Shaolin Temple and is skilled in Eagle Claw Kung Fu. Due to the rampant banditry in Taiwan at that time, which severely threatened the lives of the people, the martial arts academies in various villages of Qikeng became urgent self-defense training institutions. Currently, there are several sites in Yunlin that commemorate Xiluo Qikeng, such as the Zhenxing Temple, Master A-Shan's Cemetery, Qikeng Sculpture Park, Zhang-Liao Shrine, and Guangxing Community, all preserving the spirit of Xiluo Qikeng.
