Nioumping Introduction
Niumuping Cliff is a wide grassland, named for the rock at the shore that resembles a cow floating on the sea. A small path with more than one hundred and two hundred steps leads down to the seaside, allowing visitors to get close to the ocean and admire the unique geological wonders of Niumuping. Niumuping Bay, the only pebble beach in Taiwan composed of a mix of basalt, sandstone, and coral, features magnificent basalt formations, making it an ideal spot for swimming, snorkeling, and sea fishing. As you descend the stone steps toward the sea, from a certain angle, it appears as if a giant cow is playing in the water. The vast grassland not only serves as a good grazing area for locals but also makes for an excellent camping site, offering a chance to fully enjoy the expansive blue sky and lush green grass, which is quite pleasant. Little Taiwan is located beneath the cliffs of Niumuping and is one of the several platforms within Niumuping Bay. Little Taiwan consists of marine erosion platforms formed from volcanic breccia, remarkably resembling a miniature version of Taiwan, which is both special and interesting. 【Recommended visit duration】 1 hour.
