Fude Temple Introduction
Main Deity: Caishen (God of Wealth) Festival Date: The second day of the second lunar month In the 56th year of the Qianlong era, the magistrate of Penghu initiated the relocation and reconstruction of the shrine, featuring the new carvings of two deities. In the Jiaqing era, the goddess Fude was added to the worship. Up until the 9th year of the Republic of China, the original statue of Caishen was removed by the Japanese, hence the worship of Caishen was reinstated and has been honored together with Fude ever since.
