Fude Temple Introduction
Main deity: Tudi Gong (Earth God) Festival date: The second day of the second lunar month In the 56th year of the Qianlong reign, the local magistrate of Penghu initiated a fundraising campaign to relocate the shrine and newly carved two statues for worship. In the Jiaqing era, the Goddess of Wealth was added to the worship. Until the 9th year of the Republic of China, the original Caishen (God of Wealth) was removed by the Japanese, so the Caishen was invited for collective worship which continues to this day.
