Shuangcheng Street Night Market Introduction
Shuangcheng Street Night Market is filled with many long-established stalls that have been selling snacks for over 30 years. Because the food is so delicious, word has spread quickly, and even in windy or rainy weather, many old friends and new visitors keep coming. Although the night market isn't very large, its orderly orange-red signs and well-organized layout have made it the first regional demonstration night market in Taipei. Additionally, there are quite a few pubs nearby, attracting some international visitors as well. The business at these stalls is thriving, and it's a must-try destination. The delicious Chiayi chicken rice is flavorful and pairs well with rice; the authentic boiled goose meat offers a fragrant goose broth, satisfying even the most discerning palate; and the braised pork rice is also famous, with Huang's Braised Pork Rice winning an award in Taipei's braised pork rice competition, making it equally delicious. The braised pork, cooked with pork shank and trotters, is rich in flavor but not greasy. Lastly, don't forget to try the desserts here, like Grandma's traditional rice noodles and aiyu jelly—nostalgic Taiwanese snacks that are exceptionally tasty!
