Shuangcheng Street Night Market Introduction
Shuangcheng Street Night Market is almost entirely made up of longtime stalls, with many selling snacks that have been around for over 30 years. Because they are so delicious, word spreads quickly, and even in windy or rainy weather, many old friends and new acquaintances automatically come to visit. Although the night market is not large, the neatly arranged orange-red signs and orderly setup have made it Taipei's first regional demonstration night market. Additionally, there are many pubs nearby, attracting some international friends to come here. The business at these stalls is thriving; you won’t know until you try it. You must come to taste the food. The delicious Chiayi chicken rice is tasty and pairs well with rice; the authentic boiled goose is accompanied by fragrant goose broth, satisfying even the pickiest eater; braised pork rice is also well-known, with Huang's Braised Pork Rice receiving awards in Taipei's braised pork rice competition, just like Chiayi chicken rice. Their braised pork, cooked with trotter and pig's feet, is richer yet not greasy. Finally, don’t forget the desserts here, like Grandma's traditional rice noodles and aiyu jelly—nostalgic Taiwanese snacks that are unbelievably delicious!
