Zhoumei Clam Harbor Park Introduction
Located at the intersection of Chengde Road and the extended section of Fuguo Road, specifically at the crucial point where the cross-axis green corridor meets, is a wetland park that balances flood retention, recreation, and ecology—Zhōu Měi Xiánzǎi Port Park, covering an area of approximately 30,818 square meters. The park originally retained the old Shuangxi River channel, keeping the riverbank protection as a front pool for the pumping station, providing flood retention space during flood periods, while serving as a community recreational wetland park on regular days. A shallow area is planned on the eastern side of the river for a sedge wetland zone, left intact to avoid human disruption, creating an excellent habitat for terrestrial birds to forage and reproduce. Visitors can admire the ecological beauty of the river’s sedge wetlands while enjoying distant views of Qixing Mountain and the Datun Mountain range. The park's facilities include scenic paths, water-access platforms, pedestrian arched bridges, resting pavilions, and walking trails for leisure and sightseeing. Text source: Walking Through Parks.
