Zhoumei Clam Harbor Park Introduction
At the intersection of the green belt extension section of Chengde Road and Fuguo Road, specifically at the important junction of the Cross-axis Green Corridor, lies the Zhumei Clam Harbor Park. This wetland park, which accommodates flood retention, recreation, and ecology, covers an area of approximately 30,818 square meters. The park preserves the old Shuangxi River channel, maintaining the riverbank protective slope, which serves as a front pool for the pumping station, providing flood retention space during flooding periods, while functioning as a community recreational wetland park on regular days. A shallow area is planned along the eastern bank of the river, serving as a grassland wetland area, which remains intact and is less susceptible to human disturbance, making it an excellent habitat for terrestrial birds to forage and breed. Visitors can enjoy the grassland wetland ecology along the river channel while admiring the magnificent mountain shapes of Qixing Mountain and the Datun Mountain Range in the distance. The park's facilities include scenic walking paths, waterside platforms, pedestrian arch bridges, resting pavilions, and walking trails for scenic enjoyment and leisure activities.
