Qianshan Park Introduction
Qianshan Park is located in the Yangmingshan area, adjacent to the eastern side of Shamaoshan, the Yangmingshan Bus Terminal, and the Teacher Training Center. It is an important tourist attraction in the suburbs of Taipei, covering an area of approximately 38,328 square meters. The park features rich landscapes, including views of Shamaoshan and Qixing Mountain. During the Japanese colonial period, a stream from the hills on the west side of the Zhongshan Pavilion at the foot of Qixing Mountain was introduced, which flows through the park and converges into Yangming Lake, reflecting the beautiful scenery of Qixing Mountain. The lakeside also has free men's and women's public baths, making it highly popular among the public. It is a great place to enjoy cherry blossoms in spring, escape the heat in summer, socialize in autumn, and admire maple leaves in winter. Qianshan No. 4 Park takes the shape of the volcanic mound of Shamaoshan as its concept, utilizing the wisteria that thrives in Yangmingshan to create landscapes that correspond to the shape of Shamaoshan. A green hill serves as a new entrance image for Yangmingshan. When the wisteria blooms, walking through the park can immerse visitors in a romantic purple scenery. Qianshan No. 3 Park is located within Alley 38, Section 1, Yangming Road. When the cherry and azalea blossoms flourish in the park, it resembles a paradise far from the urban dust. Qianshan No. 1 Park - Panliu Area is situated next to the Teacher Center, having renovated the heart-shaped pond, the shaded Baiyue Lake recreational area, a footbath area, several mountain spring water channels, and the intertwining Panliu Area with volcanic rocks from Yangmingshan. Special rock formations along the stream were created with guidance from the nationally renowned Japanese stone mason, Masaru Okubo, to harmonize old and new rocks, allowing visitors to appreciate the beauty of the mountain and lush water. Qianshan No. 2 Park - Yangming Lake area is located across the road from the Panliu Area. The stream flows beneath the Shamao Bridge and converges into a lake in this area. In addition to renovating the free men's and women's public baths, two new footbath areas have been added, allowing visitors to soak their feet while enjoying the beautiful reflection of Shamaoshan in the lake, as well as the unique sight of water lilies blooming in winter. Along the lakeside adjacent to Shamao Road, slab seating made of andesite rocks has been set up for resting and enjoying the magnificent mountain shapes of Penglai Island and Qixing Mountain in the lake. This renovation work restores the lakeside to a natural pool appearance, with grass and stones gradually extending into the water. Newly planted green maples and cherry blossoms near the lake enhance the natural elegance, while the clear water of Yangming Lake, after dredging, presents a rare dreamlike blue water landscape in Taiwan, composing a symphony between the mountains and water.
