Baihe A-Po Rice Cake and Rice Noodles (Ren'ai Branch) Introduction
In the past, in Baijia Township, Tainan County, there was an 85-year-old grandmother who had been selling rice noodles and bowl cakes at the market for over 50 years. Without fancy packaging or television coverage, just one bite would deeply attract you to her flavors, reminiscent of the nostalgic memories from childhood when laughter and disputes were common. The grandmother highly values the quality of her food and never cuts corners or adds any chemical ingredients. "Follow traditional methods and insist on handmade" is her philosophy, showcasing the dignity and dedication of the older generation of Taiwanese people towards food. Although as she ages, she has to give up this traditional craft, fortunately, she has passed down this traditional and delicious way of making it, allowing the good flavors to continue to be shared.
