Once upon a time in Baihe Township, Tainan County, there was an 85-year-old grandmother who had been selling rice noodles and bowl cakes at the market for over 50 years. With no fancy packaging or media coverage, just a single bite of her food would deeply attract you, as if you were transported back to the old days, with nostalgic memories of childhood laughter and tears flooding your mind. The grandmother is very particular about the quality of her ingredients and never cuts corners or adds any chemicals. "Following ancient methods and insisting on handcrafting" is her philosophy. Through her, one can see the dignity and dedication that the older generation of Taiwanese people have towards food.
