Yangmingshan National Park Introduction
Yangmingshan National Park is the closest national park to metropolitan areas in Taiwan. The park features diverse topography and rich ecosystems, nurturing many valuable conservation species. If you're lucky, you might spot the endemic bird species of Taiwan – the Taiwan Blue Magpie. The park is filled with various flowers, including plum, cherry, peach, apricot, azalea, and camellia. Each spring, the cherry blossoms bloom, attracting numerous visitors to the mountains for flower viewing. After the cherry blossom season, around mid-March, the calla lilies in Shilin’s Zhuzihu begin to bloom, making it a fun activity to experience flower picking and take home a bouquet. A representative feature of the park is the flower clock made from various seasonal flowers; you definitely should take a photo here when you visit Yangmingshan! In addition to the flower clock, Yangmingshan has popular attractions such as Xiaoyoukeng, Yangming Shuwu, Lengshuikeng, and Qingtian Gang. If you enjoy hiking and nature walks, these spots are a must-visit. Furthermore, the Yangmingshan area is rich in geothermal resources, with different mineral qualities found in its hot springs. In the Beitou area, there are many hot spring restaurants along Xingyi Road, so if you pass through here, don’t forget to enjoy the unique sulfur springs! In spring, enjoy flower viewing; in summer, escape the heat; in autumn, admire the golden grass and maple leaves; and in winter, relax in the hot springs. Yangmingshan offers different beautiful sceneries and experiences in each season, waiting for you to discover!
