Yangmingshan National Park Introduction

Yangmingshan National Park is the closest national park to the metropolitan area of Taiwan. It features diverse topography and rich ecology, nurturing many precious endangered species. If you're lucky, you might spot the endemic bird of Taiwan—the Formosan Blue Magpie. The park is filled with various flowers such as plum, cherry, peach, apricot, azalea, and camellia; every spring, the cherry blossoms bloom, attracting numerous visitors to hike up the mountain for flower viewing. After the cherry blossom season, around mid-March, the calla lilies at Zhuzihu bloom next, allowing visitors to enjoy the fun of flower picking in the fields and take a bouquet home, becoming a must-do activity for tourists. The park's most iconic feature is a flower clock made up of various seasonal flowers; when you visit Yangmingshan, you must take a photo there! In addition to the flower clock, Yangmingshan also boasts popular spots like Xiaoyoukeng, Yangming Shuwu, Lengshuikeng, and Qingtian Gang. If you enjoy hiking and nature walks, you definitely shouldn’t miss these attractions. Furthermore, the Yangmingshan area is rich in geothermal resources, with each hot spring having distinct qualities. In the Beitou area, there are many hot spring restaurants along Xingyi Road, so if you pass through there, don’t forget to enjoy the unique sulfur hot springs! In spring, you can enjoy flower viewing; in summer, there's coolness; in autumn, there's saba grass and maple leaves; and in winter, you can soak in hot springs. Each season at Yangmingshan offers different beautiful scenes and pleasures waiting for you to discover!
