Jinguailiao River Bike Path Introduction
The Jinguayliao River Bicycle Path can be divided into two sections: from the waterfront suspension bridge to the Jinxian Police Station, and from the Jinxian Police Station to the final stop at Jiuxiungen Riverside Park. The round trip covers approximately 22.1 kilometers, with some uphill sections on the way there, so it is recommended to prepare water, snacks, and other supplies before setting off. The bicycle path runs alongside the winding Jinguayliao River, passing through a separate bike path for viewing fish, which allows cyclists to ride without worrying about passing vehicles. Continuing onward, you will experience the sights of Jinguayliao Iron Horse New Paradise, the tea plantation village, and the Jinguayliao Fish and Fern Trail. The Jinguayliao Fish and Fern Trail is a popular spot for many during the summer months for cooling off and enjoying the water, thanks to its serene atmosphere, the rich fern ecology on the rocky cliffs, and the abundance of fish in the stream. This trail was even recommended in 2017 by Lonely Planet as a must-visit hiking path for travelers. The complete route of the bicycle path is: Pinglin Waterfront Suspension Bridge (Pinglin Visitor Center) → Fish Viewing Bicycle Path Monument → Jinguayliao Iron Horse New Paradise → Jinxian Police Station → North Entrance of Jinguayliao Fish Viewing Trail → Jiuxiungen Riverside Park.
