Jinguanyao River Bicycle Path Introduction
The Jinguayliao River Bicycle Path can be divided into two sections: from the waterfront suspension bridge to the Jinxi Police Station, and from the Jinxi Police Station to the endpoint at Jiuxiugen Riverside Park, with a round trip length of approximately 22.1 kilometers. The outbound journey includes uphill sections, so it is recommended to prepare water, dry food, and other supplies before setting off. The bicycle path runs alongside the winding Jinguayliao River and passes through the Fish Observation Bicycle Path, allowing cyclists to ride without worrying about vehicle traffic. Continuing along, you will pass the Jinguayliao Iron Horse New Paradise, the scenic tea garden village, and the Jinguayliao Fish and Fern Trail, which is a popular summer spot for many people to cool off and enjoy the water. The serene atmosphere, the rich fern ecology on the rock walls, and the abundance of fish in the stream have made it a recommended hiking trail by Lonely Planet in 2017. The entire route of the bicycle path is: Pinglin Waterfront Suspension Bridge (Pinglin Visitor Center) → Fish Observation Bicycle Path Marker → Jinguayliao Iron Horse New Paradise → Jinxi Police Station → Northern Entrance of Jinguayliao Fish and Fern Trail → Jiuxiugen Riverside Park.
