金溪駐在所外觀

Pinglin is a well-known tea town in northern Taiwan, rich in natural resources, with ancient houses quietly recording the cultural stories of the area. During the Japanese colonial period, for the sake of public safety, tax collection, and monitoring of dissenting citizens, the Japanese established a police station here, which has a history of over a hundred years. The former police station, now transformed into a private residence, is known as the Jinxi Police Station. The main entrance has been slightly moved to the left, while the stone bricks, black tiles, and architectural style still maintain the original Japanese flavor, rustic yet elegant, allowing one to vaguely sense the solemn atmosphere of the former police station. The Jinxi Police Station is located next to the Jinxi No. 1 Bridge, with a sign reading "Old Police Station from the Japanese Colonial Era" erected at the entrance of the alley. You can access it by entering from the Jinxi No. 1 Bridge.
