Pinglin is a well-known tea region in northern Taiwan, rich in natural resources and home to old houses that quietly record the cultural stories of this area. During the Japanese colonial period, in order to maintain public order, tax revenue, and monitor dissenting citizens, the Japanese established a police station here, which has a history of over a hundred years. The former police station, now transformed into a private residence, retains the original Japanese architectural style with stone bricks, black tiles, and a distinctive design. One can still faintly sense the imposing atmosphere of the former police station. The Jinxi Police Station is located next to Jinxi No. 1 Bridge, marked by a sign stating "Old Police Station from the Japanese Colonial Era" at the entrance of the alley. You can reach it by entering next to Jinxi No. 1 Bridge.
