Pinglin Tea Museum Introduction
The Pinglin Farmers' Association originated from the Pinglin Wei Credit Cooperative, founded in 1919. Over the years, it has undergone name changes and expansions, establishing maintenance stations, tea processing stations, and tea seed oil processing plants, dedicated to promoting agricultural production in the Pinglin area and promoting Baozhong tea. In 2001, based on its existing foundation, it promoted various software and hardware developments, diversified tea products, and transformed into a comprehensive service enterprise. In 2015, the Pinglin Farmers' Association further established the Pinglin Tea Industry Cultural Center, providing a place to introduce knowledge about tea and tea seed oil culture, allowing visitors to further understand the industry and development of Pinglin. The tea seed oil pressing machine at the Pinglin Tea Industry Cultural Center is located on the second floor of the Farmers' Association, accessible from the back of the Pinglin Farmers' Association through Pinglin Elementary School. A huge oil press is placed at the entrance, providing a visual guide for visitors to easily understand the manufacturing process of tea seed oil and feel the profound industrial culture of the Pinglin tea region. In-depth exhibitions about Pinglin's industries include areas titled "Baozhong Tea Production Revealed," "Tea Seed Oil Production Process," and "Pinglin's Best," allowing a deeper understanding of Pinglin's most important industry—tea and tea products—through rich visual and textual presentations. There is also a DIY space and a product exhibition area for the Farmers' Association, where you can personally create a blessing tea sachet and purchase quality products from Pinglin.
