Pinglin Tea Museum Introduction

The Pinglin Farmers' Association was established in 1919 as the Pinglin Wei Credit Cooperative. Over the years, it has undergone renaming and expansion, establishing repair stations, tea processing stations, and tea seed oil processing plants, dedicated to promoting agricultural production in the Pinglin area and popularizing Baozhong tea. In 2001, on the existing foundation, it advanced various hardware and software developments, diversified its tea product offerings, and transformed into a comprehensive service enterprise. In 2015, the Pinglin Farmers' Association further established the Pinglin Tea Industry Cultural Museum, providing a place to introduce the knowledge of tea and tea seed oil culture, allowing visitors to better understand the industry and development of Pinglin. The tea seed oil press machine is located on the second floor of the Pinglin Tea Industry Cultural Museum, accessible from the back of the Pinglin Farmers' Association through Pinglin Elementary School. A giant oil press at the entrance visually introduces visitors to the tea seed oil production process, allowing them to experience the profound industrial culture of Pinglin. The in-depth exhibitions include "The Making of Baozhong Tea," "Tea Seed Oil Production Process," and "Pinglin's Best," offering detailed insights into Pinglin's most important industry—tea and tea products—through illustrated presentations. There is also a DIY space and a product display area, where visitors can make their own blessing tea sachets and purchase quality items produced in Pinglin.
