Pinglin Water-Sensitive Suspension Bridge Introduction
The Aquatic Suspension Bridge located in the Pinglin District of New Taipei City is situated at the end of the Pinglin Image Business District. You can enter the Aquatic Suspension Bridge via the stairs next to the gas station sign. The original concept for the bridge, titled "The Embrace of Two Dragons, Blessings for Pinglin," features a bridge that spans across the Beishi River, with a length of about 60 meters and a width of 2 meters. It connects to the fish observation trails on both banks of the Beishi River, linking attractions such as the Pinglin Tea Museum, the Pinglin Suspension Bridge, and the Image Business District. This location also offers the best vantage point for observing fish swimming below; from above, one can see the shimmering schools of fish, whose high density is astonishing. It has now become a must-visit spot for tourists. The achievements of Pinglin's river conservation efforts are remarkable, and many visitors bring fish food and bread to toss into the river for the fish. Although the local government does not prohibit this, we still remind tourists not to throw garbage into the river, as it not only pollutes the water but could also harm the fish if ingested.
