Pinglin Waterside Suspension Bridge Introduction
The Shinshe Suspension Bridge, located in the Pinglin District of New Taipei City, can be found at the end of the Pinglin Image Commercial District. You can access the bridge by going down the stairs beside the archway next to the gas station. The original concept for the Pinglin Shinshe Suspension Bridge, which translates to "Double Dragons Embrace, Blessing Pinglin," features a suspension bridge that spans the Beishi River, measuring approximately 60 meters in length and 2 meters in width. It connects the fish watching paths on both banks of the Beishi River and links attractions such as the Pinglin Tea Museum, the Pinglin Suspension Bridge, and the Image Commercial District. This location also provides one of the best high points for observing fish swimming underwater. From above, you can see the shimmering schools of fish below, with their high density being quite astonishing. It has now become a must-visit destination for tourists. The successful conservation efforts for the river in Pinglin have truly paid off, as many visitors bring fish food and bread to feed the fish from the bridge. While the local government does not prohibit this, it is important to remind visitors not to throw garbage into the river, as it not only pollutes the water source but also could be harmfully ingested by the fish.
