The original concept for the Pinglin Shuinsin Suspension Bridge was "The Twin Dragons Embrace, Blessing Pinglin." The suspension bridge spans the Beishi River, with a length of approximately 60 meters and a width of 2 meters, connecting fish viewing trails on both banks of the river and linking attractions such as the Pinglin Tea Museum, the Pinglin Suspension Bridge, and the commercial district. This location also provides the best vantage point for observing fish swimming below, as it reveals shimmering fish schools underneath the bridge, their high density surprising many. It has now become a must-visit spot for tourists. The efforts to protect and nurture the river in Pinglin have indeed shown great results, and many visitors bring fish food and bread to toss into the water for the fish. Although the local government does not prohibit this practice, visitors are still reminded not to throw garbage into the river, as it contaminates the water source, and it would be unethical to let the fish ingest trash!
