Pinglin Riverside Suspension Bridge Introduction
The Shuinan Suspension Bridge, located in the Pinglin District of New Taipei City, can be found at the end of the Pinglin image business district. You can access the bridge by descending the stairs next to the archway by the gas station. The original concept for the Pinglin Shuinan Suspension Bridge is "The embrace of the twin dragons blesses Pinglin." The bridge spans the Beishi River, measuring approximately 60 meters in length and 2 meters in width, and connects the fish watching trails on both sides of the Beishi River, linking various attractions such as the Pinglin Tea Museum, the Pinglin Suspension Bridge, and the image business district. This location also offers the best vantage point for observing fish swimming underwater. From above, visitors can see schools of fish glistening below the bridge, with their high density being quite remarkable, making it a must-visit spot for tourists. The success of Pinglin's river conservation efforts is indeed impressive, as many tourists bring fish feed and bread to toss into the water for the fish. Although the local authorities do not prohibit this, visitors are still reminded not to throw garbage into the river, as it pollutes the water sources, and it would be unethical to let the fish ingest any harmful substances.
