Pinglin Children’s Water Suspension Bridge Introduction
The Shinshe Scenic Bridge, located in the Pinglin District of New Taipei City, can be found at the end of the Pinglin Image Business District. Visitors can access the bridge by going down the stairs next to the gas station entrance. The original concept for the Pinglin Shinshe Scenic Bridge is "Two Dragons Embrace, Blessing Pinglin." The suspension bridge spans approximately 60 meters in length and 2 meters in width, connecting fish viewing trails on both sides of the Beishi River. It links attractions such as the Pinglin Tea Museum, Pinglin Suspension Bridge, and the Image Business District. This spot also provides one of the best high vantage points to observe the fish swimming below. From above, visitors can truly notice the shimmering schools of fish beneath the bridge, with their density being astonishing, making it a must-visit place for tourists. The remarkable results of Pinglin’s creek conservation efforts are evident, as many visitors bring fish food or toast to toss into the water for the fish. Although the local authorities do not prohibit this, it is still important to remind visitors not to throw trash into the river, as it not only pollutes the water source but is also harmful if the fish ingest it.
