Jinguapian Tea Aroma Ecological Village Introduction
At the front end of the Jin Guo Liao River Cycling Path is the location of the Jin Guo Liao Tea Aroma Ecological Village. Known for its Baozhong tea, Pinglin District in New Taipei City has long been an important tea-producing center in Northern Taiwan. It is named the Tea Aroma Ecological Village because most residents in the village rely on tea cultivation and production for their livelihoods. With the opening of the North-Yi Highway, Pinglin has become an important relay station along the highway, growing two types of tea: Wenshan Baozhong tea and Qingxin Oolong tea, thus establishing itself as a tea production center. The tea plantations in Pinglin District are mainly distributed in the mountain hills along Provincial Highway 42, the Jin Guo Liao River Industrial Road, and beside the North-Yi Road. Strolling along the roads, the rolling landscapes of tea plantations are enchanting, while the Bei Shi River and Jin Guo Liao River meander through, carving out many beautiful deep pools and valleys, resembling the paradise described by Tao Yuanming. The atmosphere here feels tranquil and serene, making Pinglin District a tea hometown with beautiful mountain scenery, water views, and rich cultural charm.
