Jinguavalley Tea Aroma Ecological Village Introduction
At the front end of the Jinguayliao Creek Bicycle Path is the Jinguayliao Tea Aroma Ecological Village. Known for its Baozhong tea, Pinglin District in New Taipei City has long been an important tea-producing center in northern Taiwan. The name "Tea Aroma Ecological Village" reflects the fact that most residents in the village rely on tea cultivation and production for their livelihood. With the opening of the North-Yi Highway, Pinglin has become a crucial stop along this route, focusing on the cultivation of two types of tea: Wenshan Baozhong and Qingxin Oolong tea, establishing it as a tea production center. The tea plantations in Pinglin District are primarily distributed along County Road 42, the Jinguayliao Creek Industrial Road, and the hillside areas beside Beiyi Road. As one strolls along the highway, the rolling hills adorned with tea gardens create a captivating landscape. The Beishi Creek and Jinguayliao Creek meander through the area, carving out beautiful deep pools and valleys, resembling the idyllic paradise as described by Tao Yuanming, evoking a sense of tranquility and serenity. This makes Pinglin District a favored destination that harmoniously combines picturesque mountain scenery, water landscapes, and rich cultural charm.
