Jinguayliao Tea Fragrance Ecological Village Introduction
At the front end of the Jinguahliao Creek Bicycle Path lies the Jinguahliao Tea Fragrance Eco Village. Famous for its Baozhong tea, Pinglin District in New Taipei City has long been an important tea-producing center in northern Taiwan. The village is named Tea Fragrance Eco Village because almost all residents rely on tea cultivation and processing for their livelihoods. With the opening of the Beiyi Highway, Pinglin has become an important transit station along this route, primarily producing two types of tea: Wenshan Baozhong tea and Qingxin Oolong tea. The tea plantations in Pinglin District are mainly distributed across Provincial Highway 42, Jinguahliao Creek Industrial Road, and the foothills beside Beiyi Road. Strolling along the highway, the undulating scenery of the tea fields is enchanting. The Beishi Creek and Jinguahliao Creek meander through, carving out beautiful deep gorges like the Peach Blossom Spring described by Tao Yuanming, evoking a sense of tranquility and peace. This makes Pinglin District a remarkable tea town, blending stunning mountain and water scenery with rich cultural atmosphere.
