Dali Lini Tree King Temple Introduction

The main body of the tree is the tamarind tree. There is a local folk tale about Emperor Jiaqing's visit to Taiwan, which tells that while he was passing by this large tree, he was attacked by bandits, and a stranger in a red robe descended from the tree to drive away the enemies. Another version states that Emperor Jiaqing once sheltered from the rain under this tree, hence it is revered as "Tree King" and is also known as "Umbrella Tree King" due to its dense branches and leaves resembling an umbrella.
