Dali Baguashan Wang Gong Introduction

The main body of the large tree is a Pauhahn tree. There is a local folk tale about Emperor Jiaqing's visit to Taiwan, which tells of the time he passed by this large tree and was attacked by bandits. A figure in red descended from the tree and drove away the enemies. Another version states that Emperor Jiaqing once took shelter from the rain under this tree, thus it was honored as the "King of Trees." Due to its dense branches and leaves resembling a parasol, it is also known as the "Umbrella Tree King."
