Taiwan Matchstick Museum Introduction
The "Taiwan Match Museum" is an exhibition venue focused on the theme of matches, providing a detailed introduction to the history of match invention and the rise and fall of the match industry in Taiwan. The museum showcases a variety of cultural artifacts, including lighting tools, match smoking accessories, matchboxes from the Japanese colonial period, Taiwanese advertising matchboxes, foreign imported matchboxes, as well as documents from match factories and employee uniforms. Additionally, the museum has borrowed items such as a match stem printing machine and a match stem transport vehicle from the National Museum of Science and Technology. The diverse collection allows visitors to appreciate and reminisce about past life experiences, making it an exploration space for children and adults alike to discover the stories of matches. Families are welcome to visit. Opening hours: Monday to Friday, from 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM and 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM. On holidays: Group visits for 20 people or more are available by appointment, and approved visits can be conducted on holidays.
