The Street Matsu Temple was built in 1722 and is the oldest Matsu temple in Douliu Street. Together with Yongfu Temple, it is referred to as "Street Matsu Temple and Street Avalokitesvara Pavilion." The main deity is the Celestial Mother. The Matsu within the Heavenly Palace is depicted holding a tablet, symbolizing the act of reporting the appeals of the sentient beings to the Jade Emperor, who then makes the final decision. This is considered one of its distinctive features.

Douliou Men Shoutian Temple Introduction

The Street Mazu Temple, built in 1722, is the earliest Mazu temple in Douliu Street and is known alongside Yongfu Temple as "Street Mazu Temple and Street Guanyin Pavilion." It is dedicated to the Tian Shang Sheng Mu (Heavenly Mother). A distinctive feature is that the Mazu statues in the temple hold rice paper boards, symbolizing that they convey the supplications of devotees to the Jade Emperor, who then makes the final judgment.
