Douliou Men Shoutian Temple Introduction
The Street Mazu Temple, built in 1722, is the earliest Mazu temple in Douliu Street and is known alongside Yongfu Temple as "Street Mazu Temple and Street Guanyin Pavilion." It is dedicated to the Tian Shang Sheng Mu (Heavenly Mother). A distinctive feature is that the Mazu statues in the temple hold rice paper boards, symbolizing that they convey the supplications of devotees to the Jade Emperor, who then makes the final judgment.
