Wu Cuo Mazu is rich in local history and development. Although it is named Wu Cuo, the predominant surname in the settlement is Liao. The central place of worship is the Chao Hsing Temple, dedicated to Mazu, commonly known as Wu Cuo Mazu. It is said that the temple was established during the Qianlong period and is the second one among the "Seven Caves of Xiluo." In recent years, there has been an active revival of the "Seven Caves Welcoming Mazu" procession, which covers 25 villages in the Seven Caves area.

Wu Cuo Ma, rich in local agricultural history, is named after Wu Cuo, but the predominant surname in the settlement is Liao. The religious center is the Chaoxing Temple, which worships Mazu, commonly referred to as Wu Cuo Ma. It is said that the temple was built during the Qianlong period and is the second embedded in the Xiluo Seven Kanc. In recent years, there has been an active revival of the "Qikan Welcoming Mazu" event, which parades through 25 villages of the Seven Kanc.
