Wu Cuo Chao Xing Temple Introduction
Wu Cuo Mazu, rich in local development history, may be named Wu Cuo, but the predominant clan in the settlement is the Liao family. The center of belief, Chao Xing Temple, is dedicated to Ma Zu, commonly referred to as Wu Cuo Mazu. It is said that the temple was built during the Qianlong period and is the second embedded in the Xiluo Qikan. In recent years, there has been an active revival of the "Qikan Yama Zuzu," with processions through 25 villages in Qikan. Photography: Hsueh Ying-Chi (Authorized photos are not to be reproduced)
