Wu Cuo Chao Hing Temple Introduction
The Wu Cuo Mazu is a historical site that represents local reclamation. Although it is named Wu Cuo, the dominant surname in the settlement is Liao. The religious center, Chaoxing Temple, is dedicated to Mazu, commonly referred to as Wu Cuo Mazu. According to legend, this temple was built during the Qianlong period and is the second in the Seven Kants of Xiluo. In recent years, there has been an active revival of the "Seven Kants Welcoming Mazu" event, which involves a pilgrimage to 25 villages in the Seven Kants.
