Cifufu Mazu, located in the Tianwei settlement mostly inhabited by the Liao family, is an ancient temple dating back to the Qianlong period. Initially established as a temple for the God of Wealth and Land (Tudi Gong), it later transformed into a Mazu temple after the locals brought the deity from the Xiluo Guangfu Temple. In the year 1993, the temple was reconstructed, with the old temple relocated to the back, creating a coexistence of the old and new structures.

Tian Wei Ci Fu Temple Introduction

Cifufu Mazu, the Er-Lun Cifufu Temple, is located in the Liao clan-dominated Tianwei settlement. It was established during the Qianlong period and initially served as a Tudi Gong (land god) temple. Later, residents dedicated a spirit tablet of the goddess from the Xiluo Guangfu Temple here, transforming it into a Mazu temple. In 1993, the temple was rebuilt, with the old temple moved to the back, creating a coexistence of the new and the old. Image source: Yunlin County Government/Photography.
