The Nanzi Community was originally a transfer station for transporting sugarcane and passengers for Taiwan Sugar Corporation. It is a community primarily focused on the sugar and agricultural industries. In 2013, artists Liao Yao-Hsing and Liao Hui-Tsun painted 3D murals depicting the rural scenery and railway culture of the Nanzi Community, making the community vibrant and colorful.
