"The God of War Temple in Gouzao, also known as the Gouzao Zhenwu Temple, is dedicated to the worship of the Supreme Emperor of the North (Xuantian Shangdi) and the two generals, Kang and Zhao (the turtle and snake spirits). The temple was built in the early Qing Dynasty and has a history of over two hundred years. Gouzao Village is mainly inhabited by the Cai family from Qingyang. In the early years, there were conflicts between the Wu and Cai families from Beigang, and the deity has appeared to assist the Cai family."
