The Gouzao War God Temple is dedicated to the North Pole Xuantian Emperor and the two marshals Kang and Zhao (the Tortoise and Snake spirits). The temple was established in the early Qing period and has a history of over 200 years. The Gouzao community is primarily inhabited by the Cai family of Qingyang. In the past, there were armed conflicts between the Wu and Cai families of Beigang, and the War God has been known to manifest to assist the Cai family.

The God of War of Gouzao, the Gouzao Zhenwu Temple, enshrines the Emperor of the North Pole, Xuantian, along with the two marshals, Kang and Zhao (the Tortoise and Snake deities). The temple was established in the early Qing dynasty and has a history of over two hundred years. Gouzao Village is primarily inhabited by the Cai family from Qingyang, and in the early years, there were conflicts between the Wu and Cai families from Beigang. The deity has manifested to assist the Cai family.
