"Gouzaozhan Shen God Temple, also known as Gouzao Zhenwu Temple, is dedicated to the North Polar Xuantian God and the two generals Kang and Zhao (the Tortoise and Snake deities). The temple was established during the early Qing dynasty and has a history of over two hundred years. Gouzao Village is mainly inhabited by the Cai clan from Qingyang, and in the early years, there were violent conflicts between the Wu and Cai clans of Beigang. The deity has manifested to assist the Cai clan."

Gouzao Zhenwu Temple Introduction

Gouzao War God Temple, also known as Gouzao Zhenwu Temple, primarily enshrines the North Polar Xuantian Emperor and the Two Generals Kang and Zhao (the Two Spirits of Turtle and Snake). It was established during the early Qing Dynasty, and the temple has a history of over 200 years. Gouzao Village is mainly inhabited by the Cai clan from Qingyang. In the past, there were armed conflicts between the Wu and Cai clans in Beigang, and the War God had manifested to assist the Cai clan.
