Wannen Park & Jianguo Bridge Stone Monkey Introduction

Crossing the Jianguo Bridge to Zili Road, a giant globe stands tall at the intersection, facing the Wannian Creek, attracting everyone's attention from afar. This is the symbol of Wannian Park. The park is covered in lush green areas resembling a verdant carpet, with several horizontal bars and swings, as well as a stone pathway around the park. Local residents often bring their children here for recreation and exercise. The park features two artificial ponds of different sizes, planted with a variety of aquatic plants like water hyacinth and lotus. A small bridge spans the large pond, and there is a wooden platform by the small pond's edge for close observation of the aquatic ecosystem. On the Jianguo Bridge, ten stone monkey sculptures, each with its unique charm and vividness, were sculpted by artists to commemorate the 168th anniversary of the establishment of Aokong City in 2004. They convey ten meanings: the three gentlemen, gazing, the fragrance of bananas, conferring titles, stepping up, enjoying, cuddling, finding joy in children, warmth in the heart, and double happiness arriving, symbolizing harmony and perfection.
