Wannian Park & Jianguo Bridge Stone Monkey Introduction
Walking across the Jianxing Bridge to Zili Road, a gigantic globe stands tall at the intersection, facing the Wannian Creek, drawing everyone's attention from afar. This is the symbol of Wannian Park. The park is covered in lush greenery, resembling a green carpet, complemented by several bars and swings, as well as a stone path that circles the park, where local residents often bring their children to play and exercise. Within the park, there are two artificial ponds of different sizes, home to a variety of aquatic plants like duckweed and lotus flowers. A small bridge crosses the larger pond, while a wooden platform lines the smaller pond, allowing for close observation of the aquatic ecology. On Jianxing Bridge, ten stone monkey statues, each with its own character and vivid likeness, were crafted by artists in commemoration of the 168th anniversary of the establishment of A-Liao City in 2004. They convey ten meanings: the three gentlemen, watching, the scent of bananas, sealing a princely title, rising step by step, enjoyment, snuggling, carrying children joyfully, filled with warmth, and double happiness arriving, embodying harmony and perfection.
