Banshu Stadium Introduction
Banshih Sports Center was completed in 2001 and is located at the junction of Banqiao and Shulin. The entire area covers 1.72 hectares, with the main venue divided into three levels: the first floor, second floor, and basement level. Inside, it features badminton, tennis, and basketball courts, table tennis classrooms, rhythmic gymnastics rooms, taekwondo classrooms, and martial arts classrooms, offering various specialized sports classes. The center is equipped with meeting rooms, changing rooms, and shower facilities for students, providing a space for the public to engage in recreational activities and indoor sports competitions. Banshih Sports Center has the first fitness room exclusively for people with disabilities in New Taipei City, introducing wheelchair-accessible hydraulic equipment and several professional coaches. The parking design outside the venue has been planned with accessibility in mind, and bus shuttle services are available to offer a more complete sports experience for individuals with disabilities. Additionally, specially planned hand-cranked vehicle rental stations and hand-cranked bike lanes allow wheelchair users to participate in outdoor activities, promoting the concept of sports equality.
