Banchao Gymnasium Introduction
Banzhu Sports Hall was completed in 2001 and is located at the border of Banqiao and Shulin. The entire venue covers an area of 1.72 hectares, with the main hall divided into three sections: the first floor, the second floor, and the basement. The facility includes badminton, tennis, and basketball courts, as well as table tennis rooms, rhythmic gymnastics classrooms, taekwondo classrooms, and martial arts classrooms. Various specialized sports classes are offered. Additionally, the venue is equipped with meeting rooms, locker rooms, and showers for the use of class participants, providing a space for public sports and various indoor athletic competitions. Banzhu Sports Hall features New Taipei City's first gym exclusively for individuals with disabilities, incorporating wheelchair-accessible hydraulic equipment and several professional coaches. The parking flow outside the venue has been designed, and shuttle buses are provided to enhance the sports experience for people with disabilities. There is also a specially planned hand-pedal vehicle rental station and hand-pedal bicycle lane, allowing wheelchair users to engage in outdoor sports, promoting the concept of sports equity.
