Banshanch Sports Center Introduction
Banshu Sports Center was completed in 2001 and is located at the intersection of Banqiao and Shulin. The venue spans an area of 1.72 hectares, consisting of three main areas: the first floor, the second floor, and the basement level. The center includes a comprehensive facility for badminton, tennis, and basketball, as well as classrooms for table tennis, rhythmic gymnastics, taekwondo, and martial arts. It offers various specialized sports courses. Additionally, the center is equipped with meeting rooms, changing rooms, and showers for participants. It serves as a place for the public to engage in sports recreation and indoor athletic competitions. Banshu Sports Center also features the first gym in New Taipei City dedicated to individuals with disabilities, which includes wheelchair-accessible hydraulic equipment and several professional trainers. The parking layout outside the venue has been designed to accommodate these individuals, with bus shuttles provided to enhance their sports experience. There is also a specially planned handcycle rental station and handcycle paths to allow wheelchair users to participate in outdoor activities, promoting the concept of equal access to sports.
