Yizheng Great Tomb Park Introduction
Yizhang Damu Temple, originally known as the Refugee Wanshan Tonggui Tomb, also called Baijie Yizhang Damu Temple, and commonly referred to as Tucheng Damu Temple or Damu Temple, is a famous tomb and deity temple in northern Taiwan. It is said that during the Qing dynasty, indigenous people in the Tucheng and Banqiao areas frequently raided Han Chinese for money and food. Local villagers worship the Yizhang Damu Temple to gain protection and repel the indigenous raiders. As a result, local settlers rent farmland as offerings, leading to a flourishing of worship, making it a common faith center for the descendants of Minnan Zhangzhou people in Tucheng, Zhonghe, and Banqiao.
