Shulin Station Introduction
Shulin Station is located in the Shulin District of New Taipei City. It serves as a railway station on the Taiwan Railway Administration's Main Line and is also the main starting and ending station for the express trains on the Eastern Line. After exiting from the east station (previous station), you walk across Banlin Road to enter the Banqiao District. Shulin Station is a through station with three platforms; the first and second platforms are island platforms, and the third platform is a side platform. The previous Shulin Station only had two platforms, while the third platform was completed and put into use in 2007. However, most trains currently still use the first and second platforms, while the third platform is used for shunting operations and for trains starting or terminating there. The station is located 41 kilometers and 30 meters from Keelung on the Main Line, with an address at No. 112, Zhenqian Street, Shulin District, New Taipei City. The station area includes Shulin Station and Shulin Shunting Yard, and it is classified as a first-class station under the Taipei Operations Section of the Taiwan Railway Administration. It serves as the starting station for the Eastern Line and a train composition base.
