Shulin Station Introduction
Shulin Station is located in Shulin District, New Taipei City. It is a railway station on the Taiwan Railways Administration's West Coast Line and serves as the main starting and ending station for the Eastern Main Line's express trains. After exiting the East Station (previous station), one can walk across Banlin Road to enter the Banqiao District. Shulin Station is a cross-platform station with three platforms; the first and second platforms are island platforms, while the third platform is a side platform. Previously, Shulin Station only had two platforms, with the third platform completed and put into service in 2007. However, most trains currently still use the first and second platforms, while the third platform is used for mobile shunting and for trains that start and terminate there. The station is located 41 kilometers and 30 meters from Keelung on the West Coast Line, with an address of No. 112, Zhenqian Street, Shulin District, New Taipei City. The station jurisdiction includes Shulin Station and the Shulin Yard, classified as a Class 1 station under the Taipei Operations Branch of the Taiwan Railways Administration, serving as the starting station for the Eastern Main Line and a train assembly base.
