Shulin Station Introduction
Shulin Station is located in Shulin District, New Taipei City. It is a railway station of the Taiwan Railway Administration along the West Coast Line, and it serves as the main starting and ending point for the express trains on the Eastern main line. After exiting from the East Station (former station) and walking across Banlin Road, one enters the area of Banqiao District. Shulin Station is an elevated station with three platforms; the first and second platforms are island platforms, while the third platform is a side platform. The previous Shulin Station had only two platforms, and the third platform was completed and put into use in 2007. However, most trains currently still use the first and second platforms, while the third platform is used for switching and trains that start and end here. The station is located at 41.03 kilometers from Keelung on the West Coast Line, with the address being No. 112, Zhenqian Street, Shulin District, New Taipei City. The station jurisdiction includes Shulin Station and Shulin Yard, classified as a first-class station, and is under the Taipei Operations Section of the Taiwan Railway Administration. It serves as the starting point and train composition base for the Eastern main line.
