Xiyu Chi Xi Humu Hu Introduction
Hu Mu Hu is composed of basalt stone and forms an arc shape, shimmering like the eyes of the ocean. The beautiful arc quietly resides on the seabed, only appearing during low tide. The Hu Mu Hu located at the end of the coastal intertidal zone features a heart-shaped fish trap between two stone embankments. When the tide rises, fish swim into the trap, and after the tide recedes, they get trapped inside. Fishermen can then come here during low tide to collect their catch, reflecting the wisdom of the early Penghu people. Note: This attraction is located on private land and property. To avoid infringing on the landowner's rights, please obtain permission before entering, and be mindful of the tide times to ensure your safety. Penghu County is providing tidal forecasts for the next 30 days for Xiyu.
