Golden Shower Tree Road Introduction

The Cassia fistula, commonly known as the Golden Shower tree, blooms from May to June, filling the early summer with beautiful clusters of golden-yellow flowers that sway with the wind. The flowers resemble those of sweet peas, and each individual flower has a shape similar to a small yellow butterfly. The long flower clusters can measure about twenty centimeters, and when the petals fall with the wind, they resemble falling rain, hence the name "Golden Rain." When sunlight shines down, it creates a dazzling display of gold against the deep blue sky, allowing the blooms to fully showcase their beauty. Recommended flower viewing locations: <1> The area along the left bank of the Dongluo Creek from the Wufenche Railway Bridge to the Daima Bridge (intersecting Dalin and Xiluo). There are nearly 300 Cassia fistula trees along this 1.5-kilometer riverside path, which enters its flowering period each year from May to June. The tree tops hang with golden flower clusters, and when the southern breeze blows, the petals flutter down the entire pathway like a golden rain, which is a stunning sight and one of Changhua's hidden flower viewing spots. <2> Changhua High-Speed Rail Station - Section 1 of the Station Area Road . The golden flower petals lifted by the wind create a romantic golden rain that covers the entire bike path, resembling a carpet of gold, perfect for strolling with friends and family along this golden corridor of romance.
