The Cassia fistula, commonly known as Golden Shower Tree, blooms in May and June. In early summer, it is adorned with beautiful clusters of golden-yellow flowers that sway gracefully in the wind. The flowers resemble those of the sweet pea, and each individual blossom looks like a small yellow butterfly. The long flowering clusters can reach about 20 centimeters in length, and when the petals fall with the wind, it resembles rain, earning it the alternative name "Golden Rain." When sunlight shines upon it, the flowers sparkle with a brilliant golden hue, harmonizing beautifully with the azure sky. Recommended viewing location: The left bank of Dongluo River from the Wufenche Railway Bridge to the Daima Bridge section (the boundary between Erlin and Xihu). This 1.5-kilometer riverside road along the left bank of Dongluo River features nearly 300 Cassia fistula trees, which bloom from May to June. The golden flower clusters hang from the treetops, and with the breeze, the petals dance down the road, creating a stunning sight resembling golden rain.
