Big Head Drum Pavilion Introduction
The "Drum Pavilion Formation" was created by using "big drums, a set of banknotes, and a suona" to form a new type of band, designed for ease of movement along rural paths. The wooden drum pavilions we commonly see today represent an evolved form derived from this original concept. On the day of the parade on February 28, 1947, the incorporation of the Chen Cai Drum Pavilion Formation attracted many people to join the protest procession, making it one of the most important tools for propaganda at that time.
