Taipei Memory Warehouse (Mitsui Warehouse) Introduction
The "Taipei Memory Warehouse" is a red brick building constructed during the Japanese colonial period. It is located near the North Gate and Taipei Main Station, and close to the Tamsui River and Dadaocheng Wharf, reflecting the prosperous trade development of Taipei at that time. It witnesses the transition of commercial transportation from waterways to land routes. The museum focuses on the theme of forest resources and commodity trade, weaving stories related to watershed and urban development. Through the evolution of spaces in the upstream, midstream, and downstream areas, it narrates how people on the land have used and created resources, while also creating a platform for diverse dialogues.
