Taipei Memory Warehouse (Mitsui Warehouse) Introduction
The "Taipei Memory Warehouse" is a red brick building constructed during the Japanese colonial period. It is located near the North Gate and Taipei Main Station, and close to the Tamsui River and Dadaocheng Wharf, reflecting the prosperous trade development of Taipei at that time. The museum focuses on the theme of forest resources and commodity trade, telling the story through the context of river basins and urban development. It narrates how the people on the land used and created resources through the spatial evolution of the upstream, midstream, and downstream areas, while also creating a platform for diverse perspectives and dialogue.
