Baihe Grandma's Rice Cake and Mi Tai Mu (Main Store) Introduction
Once upon a time in Baihe Township, Tainan County, there was an 85-year-old grandma who had been selling rice noodles and bowl cakes at the market for over 50 years. With no fancy packaging and no television coverage, the flavors she offered captivated anyone who took a bite, evoking nostalgic memories of childhood, laughter, and innocence as if returning to a bygone era. The grandma is very particular about the quality of her food and never skimps on ingredients or adds any chemicals. "Following traditional methods and insisting on handmade" is her philosophy. Through her, people see the dignity and dedication that the older generation of Taiwanese have towards food. Although she has had to give up this traditional craft due to her age, she has fortunately passed down her traditional and delicious methods, allowing the authentic flavors to continue to thrive.
