Baihe A-Po Rice Cake and Mitaimu【Main Store】 Introduction
Once in Baihe Township, Tainan County, there was an 85-year-old grandmother who had been selling rice noodles and steamed rice cake at the market for over 50 years. Without fancy packaging or television coverage, just one bite would deeply attract you to her flavors, evoking nostalgic memories of childhood laughter and tears from a bygone era. The grandmother places great emphasis on the quality of her food, never cutting corners or adding any chemical substances. "Following traditional methods and insisting on handmade" is her philosophy, reflecting the dignity and dedication of the older generation of Taiwanese towards food. Although as she ages she has to give up this traditional craft, thankfully, she has passed down this traditional and delicious technique, allowing the authentic flavors to continue.
