Blue Tears Ecology Museum Introduction
Close Encounter with Blue Tears Blue Tears is the first impression many tourists have of Matsu, but it is not visible all year round. Even when the season is right, factors such as weather can influence visibility. Established in August 2018, the Matsu Blue Tears Ecology Museum is the first natural heritage-themed museum in Matsu that offers high interactivity. In addition to static displays introducing Matsu's ecology, it utilizes 4D surround virtual reality to let visitors experience Blue Tears up close, regardless of the season. The exterior walls of the buildings near the Ecology Museum and the embankment are painted with vivid 3D ocean murals. Although the area is not large, it is quite beautiful. The Ecology Museum was originally a fishery research station, which has been renovated into the Blue Tears Ecology Museum. It combines the technology of cultivating bioluminescent dinoflagellates from the Ocean University and conducts breeding work on Blue Tears. Through professional guided tours, visitors can get to know Blue Tears intimately. Unrestricted by the seasons or weather, visitors can see Matsu's precious natural asset—Blue Tears—year-round, both day and night.
