Blue Tears Ecology Museum Introduction
Close Encounter with Blue Tears Blue tears are the first impression many tourists have of Matsu, but they are not visible year-round. Even when the season is right, factors such as climate can affect their visibility. The Matsu Blue Tears Ecological Museum, established in August 2018, is the first highly interactive ecological heritage theme museum in Matsu. Besides static introductions to Matsu's ecology, it also employs 4D surround virtual reality technology, allowing visitors to experience interactions with blue tears regardless of the season. The exterior walls of buildings near the ecological museum and the embankment are adorned with vivid 3D marine paintings. Although the area is not large, it is quite beautiful. The ecological museum was originally a Fisheries Experiment Station and was transformed into the Blue Tears Ecological Museum, combining marine university’s luminescent plankton cultivation technology to also engage in the cultivation of blue tears. With professional guided tours, visitors can closely learn about blue tears, free from seasonal and weather limitations. Throughout the year, whether day or night, the precious natural asset of Matsu—the blue tears—can be seen.
