Blue Tears Ecological Museum Introduction
Getting Up Close with the Blue Tears The blue tears are many visitors' first impression of Matsu, but they are not visible all year round. Even during the right season, their appearance can be influenced by weather conditions. Founded in August 2018, the Matsu Blue Tears Ecological Pavilion is the first highly interactive nature heritage ecological theme museum in Matsu. In addition to static introductions to Matsu's ecology, it uses 4D surround virtual reality to immerse visitors in the experience, allowing them to engage with the blue tears regardless of the season. The exterior walls of the buildings near the ecological pavilion and the embankment feature vivid three-dimensional marine murals. Although the area is not large, it is exceptionally beautiful. The Blue Tears Ecological Pavilion was formerly a fisheries experimental station and has been transformed into this ecological pavilion. It incorporates the cultivation technology of bioluminescent plankton from a marine university and also conducts the cultivation of the blue tears. Through professional guided tours, visitors can learn about the blue tears up close, unrestricted by seasonal weather. Throughout the year, whether day or night, one can witness Matsu's precious natural asset—the blue tears.
