Blue Tears Ecology Museum Introduction
A Close Encounter with Blue Tears Blue tears are the first impression many tourists have of Matsu, but they are not visible year-round. Even when the timing is right, factors like weather can affect their appearance. The Matsu Blue Tears Ecological Museum, established in August 2018, is the first highly interactive natural heritage ecological themed museum in Matsu. In addition to static presentations about Matsu's ecology, it employs 4D immersive virtual reality to allow visitors to experience interactions with blue tears, regardless of the season. The exterior walls of buildings near the ecological museum and the embankment are adorned with vivid 3D marine murals. Although the area is small, it is incredibly beautiful. The Blue Tears Ecological Museum was originally a fishery experimental station, later converted into this museum, which combines the technology for cultivating dinoflagellates from the National Taiwan Ocean University to facilitate the cultivation of blue tears. Through professional guided tours, visitors can learn closely about blue tears without seasonal and weather limitations. Throughout the year, both day and night, they can witness Matsu's precious natural asset – blue tears. Admission: Reservations are required, with some spots available for walk-ins.
