勝天公園

Shengtian Park, a quaint and elegant floral paradise, is located between Magang and JInsha Village, on the west slope of Yuntai Mountain, adjacent to Chushui Bay Reservoir. Covering over ten hectares, it is planned along a coastal road and represents the seaside parks in the Matsu region. Next to Chushui Bay Reservoir stands a Tang-style pavilion, Shengtian Pavilion, built by the stationed troops in 1990, inspired by the architectural style of Zaoshanyuan in Taipei. Designed in the style of a Song Dynasty garden, it features a wooden framework with gray ceramic tiles, blending into the mountain and sea scenery, showcasing a rustic and elegant beauty. Due to insect damage, the wooden framework suffered some degradation, but in 2004, the Matsu Administration restored it to its original appearance, giving it new life, nestled beneath lush greenery, reminiscent of a Jiangnan garden with refined charm. From the dam bridge, one can enjoy a panoramic view of the mountain and sea; a path leads down to the coast. Within Shengtian Park, there is a Taiwan beech forest, and the forest nurtures a variety of Matsu native plant species. The ancient pavilion has a winding corridor, with high-rising pavilion peaks; during late winter to early spring, the budding leaves and red maple foliage adorn the entire mountain landscape. Surrounded by ancient towering pines, it is a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle, with stone steps leading up, embodying the beauty of "finding peace in the mountains." At night, one can also count the countless stars in the sky and listen to the sound of waves crashing on the shore, filled with poetic charm.

Sheng Tian Park Introduction

Sheng Tian Park, located between Ma Gang and Jinsha Village, lies on the west slope of Yun Tai Mountain, adjacent to the Chushui Bay Reservoir. Covering over ten hectares, it is representative of coastal parks in the Matsu area, planned along a seaside military road. Next to the Chushui Bay Reservoir stands a Tang-style pavilion, Sheng Tian Pavilion, built in 1990 by stationed troops. The design is mainly inspired by the architectural style of Yuanshan Garden in Taipei and features a Song Dynasty garden style landscape with a wooden frame and gray ceramic tiles, harmonizing with the mountain and sea scenery, presenting an elegant simplicity. Due to termite infestation, the wooden structure became dilapidated, and in 2004, the Management Office restored it to its original form, giving it new life. Nestled among the lush forest, it resembles a Jiangnan garden, exuding refined charm. From the bridge, one can enjoy panoramic views of mountains and sea, with paths leading down to the coastline. The park contains a grove of Taiwan beech trees, nurturing various native Matsu plant species amidst the forests. The ancient pavilions and winding corridors, with their upturned roofs, are adorned with the red leaves of the Chinese tallow trees as winter gives way to early spring, dotting the entire forest. Surrounded by ancient pine trees and far removed from the hustle and bustle, ascending the stone steps evokes a sense of tranquility and beauty. At night, visitors can count the stars overhead and listen to the sound of waves crashing against the shore, filling the atmosphere with poetic charm.
