勝天公園

Shengtian Park, located between Magang and Jinsha Village, is situated on the west slope of Yuntai Mountain, adjacent to the Chushui Ao Reservoir. Covering an area of over ten hectares, it is planned along a coastal military road and serves as a representative seaside park in the Matsu region. Next to the Chushui Ao Reservoir stands a Tang-style pavilion called Shengtian Pavilion, built by the stationed military in 1990, which mainly draws architectural inspiration from the Zhi Shan Garden in the Daan Forest Park of Taipei. Designed in a Song Dynasty garden style, it features a wooden frame with gray ceramic tiles, beautifully integrating the mountain and sea scenery, presenting a simple and elegant charm. Due to wood decay from insect infestation, the pavilion experienced some structural issues, and in 2004, the Matsu National Scenic Area Administration restored it to its original appearance, giving it new life against the backdrop of lush greenery, resembling a Jiangnan garden with refined elegance. From the dam bridge, visitors can enjoy panoramic mountain and sea views, with paths leading down to the coast; within the Shengtian Park area, there is a grove of Taiwanese beech trees, and the forest nurtures a variety of indigenous Matsu plant species. The meandering corridors of the old pavilion feature high-arched roofs, and every late winter to early spring, as the buds begin to sprout, the red leaves of the winged sumac highlight the entire forest; surrounded by ancient pines, one can escape the hustle and bustle, ascend the stone steps, and experience the beauty of "finding tranquility in a mountain." At night, one can also count the stars in the sky here and listen to the sound of the waves crashing against the shore, filled with poetic charm.

Victory Park Introduction

Shengtian Park, nestled between Magang and Jiansha Village, is located on the west-facing slope of Yuntai Mountain, adjacent to the Chushui Ao Reservoir. Covering an area of over ten hectares, it is a representative coastal park in the Matsu region, designed along a wartime road laid out by the sea. Next to Chushui Ao Reservoir stands the Tang-style pavilion, Shengtian Pavilion, built by the stationed troops in 1990, primarily inspired by the architectural style of the Taipei Waishuangxi Zhishanyuan. The landscaping mimics a Song dynasty garden style, featuring a wooden frame and gray ceramic tiles, seamlessly integrating with the mountain and sea scenery to showcase an ancient and elegant beauty. Due to insect damage, the wooden structure began to sag, and in 2004, the Matsu management restored it to its original appearance, giving it new life. Set against the lush greenery, it resembles a Jiangnan garden with refined charm. From the bridge, visitors can enjoy panoramic views of the mountains and sea, and a path leads down to the coast. Within Shengtian Park, there is a forest of Taiwan beech trees, nurturing various native Matsu plant species among its thickets. The winding corridors of the ancient pavilion, with its soaring roof, are adorned with the red leaves of the sugar maple at the end of winter and the beginning of spring, beautifying the entire forest. Surrounded by towering ancient pines, it offers a retreat from the hustle and bustle, and ascending the stone steps provides a sense of tranquil beauty. As night falls, visitors can count the stars overhead and listen to the sound of waves crashing, enveloped in poetic charm.
