勝天公園

The quaint and elegant floral paradise is located between Magang and Jinsha Village. Sheng Tian Park is situated on the western slope of Yuntai Mountain, adjacent to the Chushui Ao Reservoir, covering an area of over ten hectares. It is planned along a coastal military road and represents the coastal parks of the Matsu region. Next to the Chushui Ao Reservoir stands a Tang-style pavilion, Sheng Tian Pavilion, built in 1990 by the stationed troops, mainly referencing the architectural style of the Taipei Waishuangxi Zhishanyuan. The landscaping adopts a Song Dynasty garden style, featuring a timber framework and gray ceramic tiles for the roof, integrating mountain and sea scenery, showcasing a rustic and elegant beauty. Due to insect damage, the wooden structure was restored to its original form in 2004 by the Matsu National Scenic Area Administration, giving it new life, surrounded by lush greenery that resembles a Jiangnan garden, with an elegant charm. From the bridge, one can enjoy a panoramic view of the mountains and sea, and a path leads down to the coast. Within Sheng Tian Park, there is a section of Formosan beech forest, which nurtures various native Matsu plant species among the thickets. The winding corridors of the ancient pavilions have high-raised roofs, and at the end of winter and the beginning of spring, the budding leaves of the wax trees dot the entire forest with red foliage. Towering ancient pines surround the area, providing an escape from the hustle and bustle. Climbing the stone stairs offers a sense of serenity with the beauty of "finding peace in the mountains." At night, one can count the stars and listen to the waves crashing against the shore, filled with poetic sentiment.

Shengtian Park Introduction

Shengtian Park: A Rustic and Elegant Floral Paradise Located between Magang and Jinxia Village, Shengtian Park lies on the west slope of Yuntai Mountain, adjacent to the Chushuiwan Reservoir. Covering an area of over ten hectares, it is planned along a coastal military road, representing the seaside parks in the Matsu region. Next to Chushuiwan Reservoir stands a Tang-style pavilion, Shengtian Pavilion, built by the military in 1990. This structure is mainly inspired by the architectural style of Zhi-Shan Garden in the Wenshan District of Taipei, designed in a Song dynasty garden style. It uses wooden frames and gray ceramic tiles for the roof, blending with the mountain and sea scenery, showcasing its rustic elegance. Due to pest damage to the wooden structure, it had begun to lean, but in 2004, the Matsu National Scenic Area Administration restored it to its original appearance, breathing new life into it. Nestled beneath the lush trees, it resembles a classic Jiangnan garden, exuding a refined charm. From the bridge, one can enjoy sweeping views of the mountains and sea, with paths leading down to the coastline. Within Shengtian Park, there is a forest of Taiwan's beech trees, which nurtures a variety of endemic Matsu flora. The winding corridors and high-pitched pavilions come alive at the end of winter and the beginning of spring, when the buds begin to sprout, and the red leaves of the Chinese sweetgum punctuate the mountain forest. Surrounded by ancient pines, far from the noise of the world, visitors can ascend the stone steps and experience the tranquil beauty of "finding quietude in the mountains." At night, one can also count the stars overhead and listen to the sound of waves crashing against the shore, filled with poetic sentiment.
