Siwei Village Introduction

Furen Village, located at the western end of Nangan, is sparsely populated. In the past, there were over 20 households living here with more than 100 residents. However, around the 1970s, like other villages, Furen Village experienced significant population outflow, gradually turning into a deserted village, leaving this beautiful harbor immersed in weeds and wilderness for nearly 20 to 30 years. Furen Village is backed by mountains and faces the sea, with Fuao Harbor, a hub for the Small Three Links (Xiaosan Tong) and the docking point for ferries between Taiwan and Matsu, right in front. The quiet village, combined with the bustling scene of people coming and going, creates a unique picture. Additionally, while visiting Furen Village, don't forget to check out the distinctive "Furen Café," which also features a guesthouse. For backpackers unsure of where to stay, Furen Guesthouse is a great option.
