Longfeng Temple Introduction
Longfeng Temple deities include the Sincere Ancestor, Xuantian Shangdi, Tian Shang Shengmu, Jiu Tian Xuan Nu, San Taizi, and Fude Zheng Shen, serving as the faith center for the residents of Sun Moon Lake. With its natural scenery and beautiful landscapes, Sun Moon Lake is a great place for young couples to fall in love. Therefore, Huang Huo received the suggestion from the then Nantou County Magistrate Yang Zhaobi to build the Yuexia Laoren Shrine for worship and prayer for tourists. A Yuexia Laoren Pavilion was constructed on Lalu Island, modeled after China's West Lake, but it was damaged in the 921 earthquake and the Yuexia Laoren was relocated to Longfeng Temple for worship to this day. Yuexia Laoren is believed to be very effective; single men and women visiting Sun Moon Lake should consider praying to Yuexia Laoren here, hoping for their love life to blossom soon.
