Longfeng Temple Introduction
Longfeng Temple venerates various deities including the Venerated Ancestor, Xuantian Shangdi, Tian Shang Shengmu, Jiutian Xuannü, the Third Prince, and the God of Wealth and Prosperity, serving as a center of faith for the residents of Sun Moon Lake. Sun Moon Lake boasts natural scenery and beautiful landscapes, making it a perfect place for young couples to romance. As a result, Huang Huo received permission to suggest the construction of the Yuexia Old Man Shrine to the then Nantou County Commissioner Yang Zhaobi, allowing visitors to worship and make wishes. This led to the establishment of the "Yuexia Old Man Pavilion" on Lalu Island, designed to imitate China's West Lake. Following damage from the 921 earthquake, the Yuexia Old Man was then moved to Longfeng Temple, where it is honored to this day. The Yuexia Old Man is known for being very effective, and single men and women visiting Sun Moon Lake should consider praying to the Yuexia Old Man for their love life to blossom soon.
