Handmade Kiln Introduction
Qin Shou Kiln is located on the right side of Provincial Highway 21, heading from Sun Moon Lake toward Puli. The building has a tropical flair, and by browsing the park's structures and installations, one can feel the relaxed creativity of the owner. The rugged wooden carvings exude a primitive charm, and the design of the exhibition area and restaurant seems to be the owner's spontaneous creation, allowing for an unrestrained sense of ease while walking through the park. Visitors can enjoy a hands-on pottery experience for just 150 TWD, which is a delightful experience for families. The beautiful and friendly name "Qin Shou Kiln" was conceived by the owner, Wu Cibin, at four o'clock in the morning on the day of its opening, when he woke his wife to seek her opinion, thus establishing Qin Shou Kiln in Zhongming Village. Mr. Wu's home originally served as the tourist service center for Zhongming Community and was also the pottery workshop, built brick by brick by Mr. Wu himself. This includes a pottery classroom, guesthouse, suspension bridge, and pavilion, and there is even a wooden sculpture on the main building telling the story of how Mr. Wu journeyed from being the child of a fishmonger to where he is today.
