Jesus Hall Introduction
The Jesus Church at Sun Moon Lake is nestled among the trees on the hillside of Hanbi Peninsula. Its Romanesque structure, with yellow walls and white pillars, embodies classical elegance, and offers a panoramic view of the scenic Sun Moon Lake. Built in the 60th year of the Republic of China (1971) by former President Chiang Kai-shek and his wife during their visit to Sun Moon Lake for worship and prayer, the church was damaged during the 921 earthquake, leading to cracks and tilting of the outer lounge and dormitory. It was renovated and opened to visitors by the Sun Moon Lake National Scenic Area Administration in the 92nd year of the Republic of China (2003), becoming a popular spot for both domestic and international tourists for wedding photography. In 2017, the church was leased to a private company for operational management, which transformed it with a professional aesthetic for weddings and wedding photography, unveiling the traditional charm of the Jesus Church for happy travelers from home and abroad, and creating a dreamy lakeside journey of happiness.
