Chaoguo Dock Introduction
The Chaowu Pier, located on Provincial Highway 21, is one of the four major piers of Sun Moon Lake. Looking eastward, it is a great spot to watch the sunrise. Due to the influence of climate, terrain, and hydrology, the lake often shrouded in fog in the early morning, making the morning mist even more enchanting under the glow of the rising sun. It is renowned for its beauty, known as "Shuishe Chaowu," and is one of the Eight Views of Sun Moon Lake. In addition to being a pier for tourists to board boats and enjoy the lake scenery, it is also the starting point for the event where thousands swim across Sun Moon Lake, with the endpoint at the opposite bank's Ita Thao Pier, covering a total distance of 3.3 kilometers.
