Chaogoo Wharf Introduction
Chaowu Pier, located on Provincial Highway 21, is one of the four major piers of Sun Moon Lake. Looking east, it is a great spot for watching the sunrise. Due to the influences of climate, terrain, and hydrology, the lake surface is often shrouded in mist in the early morning, and under the glow of the rising sun, the morning mist appears even more enchanting. It is well-known as "Shuishe Morning Mist" and is one of the eight scenic spots of Sun Moon Lake. This location is not only a pier for visitors to board yachts and enjoy the lake scenery, but it is also the starting point for the Sun Moon Lake Swimming Marathon, with the endpoint at Ita Thao Pier across the lake, covering a total distance of 3.3 kilometers.
