Shibi Dyeing Workshop DIY Introduction
The owner of the dyeing workshop, Lin Shu-Li, started learning traditional Atayal weaving techniques after marrying into the Shibi tribe from another region. She is highly skilled in traditional methods such as extracting silk from ramie, getting colors from plants, and weaving with a loom. She has also established a workshop to actively promote these arts. Visitors can engage in DIY activities like plant dyeing, weaving, and frame weaving, and there are also café and homestay services available.
