Ershui Traditional Noodles Introduction
Away from the streets of Ershui, you arrive at the famous Dongzuo Stone Inkstone, then walk north for 100 meters, turn into an alley, and you will find a noodle stall situated in a quiet residential area. What’s even more surprising is that the noodle shop is bustling with customers. The owner, Ou Lian Zhao, used to carry her noodles around for sale. The unique old-fashioned flavor is a favorite among the locals of Ershui. Even though the shop has moved away from the commercial district, customers still come from afar drawn by the aroma. She mentions that the braised pork sauce is her secret recipe, and the noodles are chewy yet not mushy. A bowl costs only 20 TWD, and not only do locals enjoy it, but it also frequently attracts tourists on holidays.
