Ershuei Traditional Noodles Introduction
Away from the streets of Ershui, you'll come across the famous Dongzuo Shiyun. After walking 100 meters north and turning into an alley, you'll unexpectedly find a noodle stand nestled in a quiet residential area. What's even more surprising is that the noodle shop is bustling with customers. The owner, Oulian Zhao, used to sell noodles by carrying them around on a pole, and her unique traditional flavor has become a favorite among the locals in Ershui. Even though the shop moved away from the commercial area, customers still come for the aroma. She says her braised pork sauce is a secret recipe, and the noodles are chewy yet not overcooked. A bowl costs only 20 TWD, and not only do local customers love it, but it also frequently attracts tourists on weekends.
