Old Mill Miao Shiu Creek Suspension Bridge Historic Site Introduction
From Jiayi County Highway 154 towards Ruifeng Line, passing through the currently closed Shengmaoshu Creek. Shengmaoshu Creek and its tributary wild streams are the mother river of Taixing Village, nurturing the present, past, and future of Taixing. The creek is home to the national treasure-class Chinese sturgeon. After one year of creek conservation, fish populations flourished, but during the 2004 July 2 flood, most of the nurtured fish overflowed the banks, resulting in significant losses. The villagers decided to close the creek again, and tourists are prohibited from fishing in the creek to avoid fines. After passing through Shengmaoshu Creek, you will arrive at the legendary Ruixing Lovers Suspension Bridge and the century-old ancient mill.
