Old Mill Maoshu Stream Suspension Bridge Historic Site Introduction
From County Road 154 heading towards Ruifeng Line, you will pass by the currently closed Shengmaoshu Stream, which is the mother river of Taixing Village along with its tributaries and wild streams. It nurtures the past, present, and future of Taixing. The stream is home to the national treasure species, the Chinese sturgeon. After a year of stream protection efforts, the fish population thrived; however, during the July 2004 flood, many of the nurtured fish overflowed the banks, resulting in significant losses. The villagers decided to close the stream again, and visitors are prohibited from fishing in the stream to avoid penalties. After passing Shengmaoshu Stream, you will arrive at the legendary Ruixin Lover's Bridge and the century-old mill.
