Old Mill Bridge at Maoshuxi Historic Site Introduction
From County Road 154 towards the Ruifeng Line, you will pass through the Shengmaoshu Creek, which is currently under a river closure status. Shengmaoshu Creek and its tributary wild streams are the mother rivers of Taixing Village, nurturing the past, present, and future of Taixing. The creek is also home to the national treasure-level fish species, the loach. After a year of river conservation efforts, fish populations flourished, but in the 2004 July floods, most of the nurtured fish overflowed the banks, resulting in significant losses. The villagers decided to enforce another river closure, and tourists are advised not to fish in the creek to avoid penalties. After passing Shengmaoshu Creek, you will arrive at the legendary Ruixing Lovers' Suspension Bridge and the century-old mill.
