Old Mill Bridge of Maoshuxi Historical Site Introduction
From County Road 154 heading towards the Ruifeng Line, you will pass through the Shengmaoshu Creek, which is currently under stream conservation. Shengmaoshu Creek and its tributary wild creeks are the mother river of Taixing Village, nurturing the past, present, and future of Taixing. The creek is home to the national treasure, the Chinese sturgeon. After a year of stream conservation, fish populations thrived, but during the 2004 7.2 flood, most of the nurtured fish overflowed and were lost. The villagers decided to reinforce the creek, and visitors are prohibited from fishing in the creek to avoid penalties. After passing Shengmaoshu Creek, you will arrive at the legendary Ruixing Lover's Suspension Bridge and the century-old mill.
