Baoshan No. 2 Group Sakura Park Introduction
Baoshan Second Group Cherry Blossom Park is located at 16.5K on Tengzhilin Road in the Baoshan Village of the Taoyuan District, with an elevation of nearly 1,500 meters. This cherry blossom park covers an area of approximately 38 hectares, hence the name "38 Hectare Cherry Blossom Park." Due to its high altitude, it offers an excellent view, where one can overlook Xiaoguanshan, the entrance to the Southern Cross-Island Highway (Nanheng Highway), and the Baolai Hot Spring area. The park is home to nearly 5,000 cherry blossom trees of different varieties, blooming mainly from late winter to early spring (approximately January to February each year). The vibrant sea of flowers decorates the 38 hectares with shades of cherry blossom pink, signaling the arrival of spring, making it the top cherry blossom viewing spot in the Kaohsiung area. A stay of about 2 hours is recommended, where visitors can hike along the cherry blossom trail and absorb the phytoncide-rich air of the mountainous forest.
