Baoshan No. 2 Group Cherry Blossom Park Introduction
Baoshan Second Group Cherry Blossom Park is located at the 16.5K mark of the Tengzhilin Road in the Tao Yuan District, at an elevation of nearly 1500 meters. Covering an area of approximately 38 hectares, it is hence referred to as the "38 Hectares Cherry Blossom Park." Due to its high altitude, it offers excellent views from which one can overlook Xiaoguanshan, the entrance to the Southern Cross-Island Highway, and the Baolai Hot Springs area. The park is home to nearly 5,000 cherry trees of different varieties, blooming from late winter to early spring (around January to February each year). The vibrant blossoms transform the 38 hectares into a sea of cherry blossoms, signaling the arrival of spring. It is a top choice for cherry blossom viewing in the Kaohsiung area. A recommended stay time is about 2 hours, during which visitors can hike along the cherry blossom trail and enjoy the abundant phytoncides of the mountainous forest.
