Yilan Coastal Bike Path Introduction
If you want to enjoy the coastal scenery spanning Fuguei, Zhuangwei, and Toucheng towns, consider hopping on a bicycle and leisurely riding along the bike path between the river and the sea, experiencing the beauty of Lanyang in a different way. The Zhuangwei Coastal Bike Path, flanked by broadleaf forests and pine trees, stretches 15 kilometers, surrounded by lush greenery that creates a tranquil atmosphere. There are many side paths along the bike route; the one to the right leads to the coastline of Zhuangwei Township, while the left path heads toward the settlement in Zhuangwei Township, where you might occasionally spot some bunkers, adding to the fun along the way. The distant Guishan Island accompanies you throughout your journey, with breathtaking natural landscapes that are expansive and refreshing. Along the bike path, there are two scenic pavilions where cyclists can rest and enjoy the coastal view of the conservation forest, gazing at the vast sandy beach and the deep blue sea, accompanied by the continuous sound of waves and the sea breeze, resembling a tranquil seaside painting. Nearby attractions include Yongzhen Beach Park, where you can play in the sand and take pictures of the sunrise over Guishan Island, and Donggang Banyan Tree Park located at the mouth of Lanyang River, which offers a comfortable space under the shade of banyan trees and the gentle sea breeze. Plan a cycling trip on a sunny day to meet Guishan Island and the Pacific Ocean, and appreciate the beautiful scenery along this bike path! *Please note:* Since the bike path and the forest trails are surrounded by lush trees, there may be a bit more small flying insects. It is advisable to wear long sleeves and long pants or apply mosquito repellent before heading out! There are public restrooms available for visitors along the route, which can be found on the coastal bike path map.
