Yilan Coastal Bike Path Introduction
If you want to enjoy the coastal scenery spanning Wujie, Zhuangwei, and Toucheng Town, consider getting on a bike and riding slowly along the bike path between the river and the sea, experiencing the beauty of Lanyang in a unique way. The Zhuangwei Coastal Bike Path, flanked by broadleaf forests and Linwu trees, is 15 kilometers long, surrounded by lush greenery, making it a very tranquil environment. There are many branches along the bike path; the branch on the right leads to the coast of Zhuangwei Township, while the one on the left heads toward the Zhuangwei Township settlement, where occasional watchtowers appear, adding some fun to the journey. Throughout the ride, you will be accompanied by the distant Guishan Island, with stunning natural scenery that is broad and beautiful, refreshing both body and mind. Along the entire bike path, there are two scenic pavilions where cyclists can rest and enjoy the coastal views of the Baohuan Forest, gazing at the vast beaches and the deep blue sea, with the constant sounds of waves and sea breezes, resembling a serene seaside painting. Nearby attractions include Yongzhen Coastal Park, where you can play in the sand and capture the sunrise over Guishan Island, as well as Donggang Banyan Park located at the mouth of Lanyang River, providing a pleasant experience under the shade of banyan trees and the blowing sea breeze. Plan a light bike trip on a sunny day to date Guishan Island and the Pacific Ocean, and enjoy the beautiful scenery along this bike path! *Reminder: Since the bike path and the forest trails are surrounded by dense trees, there may be an abundance of small mosquitoes, so it’s recommended to wear long sleeves and long pants or apply mosquito repellent before heading out! Public restrooms are available for visitors along the way, and their locations can be found on the coastal bike path map.*
