Yilan Coastal Bike Path Introduction
If you want to enjoy the coastal scenery spanning the towns of Wujie, Zhuangwei, and Toucheng, consider hopping on a bicycle and slowly riding along the bike path between the river and the sea to experience the beauty of Lanyan in a different way. The Zhuangwei Coastal Bike Path, flanked by broadleaf forests and Lin Tou trees, stretches 15 kilometers, surrounded by lush greenery, creating a serene atmosphere. There are numerous branching paths along the bike path; the right path leads to the coastal area of Zhuangwei Township, while the left leads to the Zhuangwei Township settlements, with occasional lookout towers adding fun to the journey. Along the way, you are accompanied by the distant Guishan Island, and the natural scenery is breathtaking and open, refreshing both mind and body. The entire bike path features two scenic pavilions, offering cyclists a place to rest and enjoy the coastal views of the conservation forest, gazing at the vast beach and the deep blue sea, accompanied by the continuous sound of waves and the gentle sea breeze, resembling a tranquil coastal landscape painting. Surrounding attractions include Yongzhen Coastal Park, where you can play in the sand and water or capture the sunrise over Guishan Island, and Donggang Banyan Tree Park located at the estuary of Lanyan Creek, providing a comfortable and pleasant atmosphere under the shade of banyan trees and sea breezes. Plan a light bicycle trip on a sunny day to rendezvous with Guishan Island and the Pacific Ocean, and take in the beautiful scenery along this bike path! **Reminder:** Since the bike path and forest trails are lined with dense vegetation, there may be more small mosquitoes present. It is recommended to wear long sleeves and long pants or apply mosquito repellent before heading out! Public restrooms are available along the way for visitors, and their locations can be found on the coastal bike path map.
