Yilan Coastal Bicycle Path Introduction
If you want to enjoy the coastal scenery spanning Wujie, Zhuangwei, and Toucheng towns, consider hopping on a bicycle and leisurely riding along the bike path between the river and the sea to experience the beauty of Lanyang in a unique way. The Zhuangwei Coastal Bike Path, lined with broadleaf forests and Lin Tou trees, is 15 kilometers long, enveloped by lush verdant trees that create a tranquil atmosphere. Along the path, there are many detours; the right detour leads to the coastal area of Zhuangwei Township, while the left detour takes you to Zhuangwei Township's settlement, where the occasional sight of watchtowers adds some fun to the journey. The distant Guishan Island accompanies you along the way, offering breathtaking natural scenery that is expansive and soothing to the mind and body. The entire bike path features two scenic pavilions for cyclists to rest and admire the coastal scenery of the conservation forest, overlooking the vast sandy beach and azure sea, accompanied by the sound of crashing waves and refreshing sea breezes, resembling a tranquil and serene coastal landscape painting. Nearby attractions include Yongzhen Coastal Park, where you can play in the sand and water or photograph the sunrise over Guishan Island, as well as Donggang Banyan Tree Park located at the mouth of the Lanyang River, where you can relax in the shade of the banyan trees and feel the sea breeze. Plan a light bicycle trip on a sunny day to have a date with Guishan Island and the Pacific Ocean, and experience the beautiful scenery along this bike path! **A small reminder:** Since the bike path and forest trails are surrounded by dense vegetation, there may be more mosquitoes. It is recommended to wear long sleeves and pants or apply insect repellent before heading out! Public restrooms are available for visitors along the route, with their locations marked on the Coastal Bike Path map.
