Yilan Coastal Bike Path Introduction
If you want to enjoy the coastal scenery spanning Dongshan, Zhuangwei, and Toucheng townships, you might consider riding a bicycle along the bike path, experiencing the beauty of Lanyang in a different way. The Zhuangwei Coastal Bike Path, flanked by broadleaf forests and environmental trees, stretches 15 kilometers and offers lush greenery, creating a peaceful atmosphere. There are many side paths along the bike path; the right path leads to the coastal area of Zhuangwei Township, while the left leads to the settlements of Zhuangwei Township, where you may occasionally encounter watchtowers that add to the fun of the journey. Throughout the ride, Guishan Island can be seen in the distance, providing breathtaking natural scenery that is refreshing for the body and mind. Along the entire bike path, you will encounter two scenic pavilions where cyclists can rest and enjoy the coastal views of the protected forest, gazing at the vast beach and the deep blue sea, accompanied by the ceaseless sound of waves and breezes, resembling a tranquil and serene seaside landscape painting. Nearby attractions include Yongzhen Seaside Park, where you can play in the sand and water, and take photos of the sunrise over Guishan Island, as well as Donggang Banyan Tree Park located at the mouth of Lanyang River, offering a comfortable and pleasant experience under the shade of banyan trees and the gentle sea breeze. Plan a light cycling trip on a sunny day to rendezvous with Guishan Island and the Pacific Ocean, and enjoy the beautiful scenery along this bike path! [Reminder] Since the bike path and the forest trails are surrounded by dense woods, there may be more small mosquitoes; it is recommended to wear long sleeves and long pants, or apply mosquito repellent before heading out! Public restrooms are available along the route for visitors, as indicated on the coastal bike path map.
