Dongshan River Water Park Introduction
The Dongshan River Water Park, where water and greenery combine, is located along the banks of the Dongshan River. Historically, the Dongshan River has been said to be protected by the Azure Dragon and Yellow Dragon, which is reflected in the riverbank's undulating, curvy dragon slopes made of pebbles, adorned with ceramic pieces in green, blue, yellow, and orange. On the steps of the dragon slopes, interesting mosaic art created by the children of Yilan can be found. The well-planned park is divided into three main areas, allowing visitors of all ages to fully “engage with water.” The boating area can be used for practicing dragon boat and Western-style rowing or riding small boats to enjoy the romantic scenery of the water reflecting the sky. The wading area features varied water depths, only reaching the ankles, where many adults and children can be seen enjoying the cool water together. The large white stones and crescent-shaped small stone walls in the pool have symbolic meanings; the small stone wall represents the bamboo fences of duck farms, while the large white stones symbolize ducks swimming in the water, portraying the traditional duck farming lifestyle of Yilan. There is also a favorite play area for children, which includes a swimming pool, a physical activity pool, and a river adventure area, making it a perfect spot for summer fun! In addition, the swimming pool is designed to mimic the curves of the Lanyang River, providing surprises everywhere in the Dongshan River Water Park.
