Tree Bank Introduction
On the way to Alishan Forest Recreation Area, you will certainly see a large wooden house in Fanlu Township. This is the Chuku Work Station of the Chiayi Forest District Office, and it is the only natural education center in Taiwan that has a tree bank, providing a space for the preservation of precious old trees. Each old tree has its own life story waiting for you to listen to. The park is home to over a hundred species of mid and low altitude trees and butterfly-attracting plants, with the unique scenery and ecological species of each season waiting for you to discover. This center is equipped with environmental education project teachers, specially serving outdoor education for middle and elementary school students. With professional personnel, rich and exciting courses, and a safe environment, it creates a new world where children can happily learn from nature; themed activities on certain Saturdays provide the best leisure and entertainment spot for the general public.
