Bitou Cape Listening Wave Campground Introduction
Bitou Cape Listening to Waves Camp used to be a base for the Marine Corps. Due to changes in the overall environment, it was abandoned for nearly 20 years after the withdrawal of troops. To effectively utilize tourism resources, the Northeast Coast National Scenic Area Administration repurposed the existing buildings, maintaining their military style while enhancing them visually with colors such as black, green, brown, and earth tones, along with the addition of pink camouflage, symbolizing gentle yet strong power, as well as passion, romance, and love. The Listening to Waves Camp is located along the Bitou Cape Trail Ridge Valley line, and it takes about 30 minutes on foot from the trail entrance next to Bitou Elementary School to reach there. Along the way, visitors can slowly appreciate the magnificent mountain-sea bays, the fantastical coastal erosion terrain, and the vibrant seaside plants, making it a trail suitable for all ages. If you have the chance to plan a small trip to Bitou Cape, be sure to visit this camouflage café nestled in the valley.
