Mao'ao Story House Introduction
Mao'ao Story Pavilion is a newly established recreational hub along the old Caoling Circular Cycle Path, featuring coastal indigenous forests, traditional water rice terraces, stone houses, and natural stone pathways. Strolling through the park, the greatest pleasure comes from standing under the cool shade of trees, feeling the rhythm of the wind through the treetops, and listening to the timeless sound of the waves from Mao'ao Bay. The Mao'ao park officially opened on September 18, 2024. Entering the park, the first sight that catches the eye is the integrated retail shop at the observation deck. Climbing to the second floor's viewing platform offers breathtaking views of the stunning coastline of Mao'ao Bay. Following the stone paths through the water rice terraces, visitors can see traditional stone houses constructed using methods such as flat stacking, random stone stacking, and herringbone stacking. Nearby is a farm experience space, as well as a sunrise viewing platform that welcomes the first light of dawn. In recent years, the Mao'ao area has gained popularity for its delicious small squid vermicelli and rich seafood porridge. Additionally, there are local food vendors and snorkeling experiences nearby, providing new options for exploring Mao'ao.
