Zhuangwei New Attraction - Dafu Coastal Sunrise Viewing Platform (Dune Bicycle Path Viewing Platform) is located in Dafu Village, Zhuangwei Township, Yilan County, close to the Yilan Coastal Bicycle Path. It is backed by abundant natural shade and faces the magnificent views of Guishan Island, making it one of the best spots to witness the sunrise over Guishan, the top of the eight scenic views of Lanyang. The Yilan Coastal Bicycle Path stretches approximately 12 kilometers, and compared to the southern section, the northern section lacks resting points. To benefit cycling tourists, this platform has been established for visitors to take a break while enjoying the beautiful coastal scenery. The design of the platform is inspired by the imagery of "nets," "waves," and "fishing boats," utilizing the local dune topography. It incorporates memories of winter eel catching and summer fishing nets into the viewing platform, and the name "Dafu" is used to create a three-dimensional frame landmark. Fixed swing seats are also installed, allowing visitors to capture beautiful moments and memories with Guishan Island and the seascape, creating a unique scenic highlight rich in local character. Along the way, visitors can also explore attractions such as Yongzhen Coastal Recreation Area, Zhuangwei Dune Ecological Park, and Donggang Banyan Tree Park. Additionally, there are diverse accommodation options around Zhuangwei and Jiaoxi, making it a perfect opportunity to experience the tranquility and leisure of the Yilan coast.
