Dafu Seaview Sunrise Platform Introduction
Zhuangwei New Sightseeing Spot: Dafukuan Sea View Sunrise Platform (Dune Bicycle Corridor Viewing Platform) is located in the coastal area of Dafuk Village, Zhuangwei Township, Yilan County. It is close to the Yilan Coastal Bicycle Path and is backed by rich natural shade while facing the magnificent sea view of Guishan Island. This spot is one of the best viewing points for the sunrise at Guishan, renowned as one of the top eight scenic spots in Lanyang. The Yilan Coastal Bicycle Path is about 12 kilometers long, and compared to the southern section, the northern section lacks resting spots. To benefit bicycle tourists, this platform was added as a place for visitors to take a break while enjoying the stunning coastal scenery. The design concept of the platform is inspired by a "net," the shape of "waves," and "fishing boat platform" imagery. Utilizing the local dune topography, it incorporates memories of winter eel catching and summer fishing nets into the viewing platform. The name "Dafu" is used to design a three-dimensional framed landmark, complete with fixed swings, allowing visitors to capture beautiful photos and memories with Guishan Island and the sea view, creating a scenic spot full of local character. Along the way, visitors can also access attractions such as Yongzhen Coastal Recreation Area, Zhuangwei Dune Ecological Park, and Donggang Banyan Tree Park. Additionally, various accommodation options are available around Zhuangwei and Jiaoxi, providing a chance to experience the tranquility and leisure of the Yilan coast.
