Dafu Viewing Platform Introduction
Zhuangwei New Attraction: Dafu Viewing Platform (Dune Bicycle Corridor Viewing Platform) is located in Dafu Village, Zhuangwei Township, Yilan County, near the Yilan Coastal Bicycle Path. Backed by rich natural shade and facing the magnificent sea view of Guishan Island, it is one of the best spots to watch the sunrise from Guishan, the top of the Lanyang Eight Scenic Views. The Yilan Coastal Bicycle Path is approximately 12 kilometers long, and the northern section is less equipped with resting spots compared to the southern section. To benefit bicycle tourists, this platform was added for visitors to take a break and enjoy the beautiful coastal scenery. The platform design is inspired by the shapes of "net," "waves," and "boat platform," utilizing the local dune terrain. It incorporates memories of winter capture of eel fry and summer fishing nets into the viewing platform, designed with a 3D framing landmark called “Dafu,” and features fixed swings for visitors to capture beautiful images and memories with Guishan Island and the sea view, creating a unique scenic highlight with local characteristics. Along the way, visitors can also go to the Yongzhen Coastal Recreation Area, Zhuangwei Dune Ecological Park, and Donggang Banyan Tree Park. In addition, there are diverse accommodation options around Zhuangwei and Jiaoxi, making it worthwhile to experience the tranquility and leisure of the Yilan coast.
