Fulong Mountain Trail Introduction
Fulong Mountain Trail is approximately 1,315 meters long and is part of the early section of the "Guanyin Ancient Trail." Along the way, you can pass by "Kaisan Lingyun Temple" and reach the endpoint at "Lingyun Zen Temple." Currently, the trail is divided into two sections due to the construction of Lingyun Road. The entrance to the first section is located beside No. 41, Section 3, Lingyun Road, and is about 400 meters long, following a small stream with babbling waters and lush vegetation, featuring a relatively level path that is easy to walk. The endpoint of the first section leads to Hongxing Free-range Chicken City (the first parking lot), connecting to the asphalt section of Road (North 53-1), and continuing another 700 meters will reach the entrance of the second section. The entire ancient trail is paved with stone steps, and the surrounding greenery is abundant, with towering trees' branches intertwining, enhancing the elegant and serene atmosphere of the pilgrimage, evoking reverence and solemnity among many visitors to the ancient temple. Beside the middle section of the trail, you will find the antiquated "Kaisan Lingyun Temple." As you continue along the quiet trail upward, you will arrive at "Lingyun Zen Temple," which houses the "Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva with a thousand hands and eyes," the largest indoor Buddha statue in Taiwan. The flower corridor behind the Zen temple houses a statue of Guanyin that once stood beside the ancient trail; there used to be 33 statues, but due to the passage of time, only a few ancient stone-carved Guanyins remain, with the mottled marks on the statues serving as the best testimony to the years gone by. The endpoint of the trail is situated between the front and back halls of the Zen temple. If you have good stamina, you can connect from here to the "Jianshan Trail," continuing on to "Yingzi Peak" and the "Jianshan Mountain Range." Alternatively, you can choose to head from the back of Lingyun Zen Temple beside Kaisan Courtyard to the "Yinghan Ridge Mountain Trail," then connect to the "Fenggui Douhu Trail" down the mountain, thus completing a circular hiking journey within the Guanyin Mountain Trail system.
