Fulong Mountain Trail Introduction
Fulong Mountain Trail is approximately 1,315 meters long and is the front section of the early "Guanyin Ancient Path." Along the way, you can pass by "Kaishan Lingyun Temple" and reach the endpoint at "Lingyun Zen Temple." Currently, due to the construction of Lingyun Road, the trail is divided into two sections. The entrance to the first section is located next to No. 41, Section 3, Lingyun Road, with a length of about 400 meters. It follows a small creek, where the sound of flowing water can be heard, and the lush greenery makes for an easy and pleasant walk. The endpoint of the first section connects to Hongxing Chicken City (first parking lot) via a paved road (North 53-1), and continuing for 700 meters will lead to the entrance of the second section of the trail. The entire ancient path is paved with stone steps, with verdant vegetation along the sides, and towering trees extending their branches, enhancing the serene and elegant atmosphere of the pilgrimage. Many visitors feel a sense of reverence and solemnity when visiting the old temple. Next to the middle section of the trail, there is the ancient building "Kaishan Lingyun Temple." Continuing along the tranquil path will lead you to "Lingyun Zen Temple," which houses the largest indoor statue of "Avalokiteshvara with a thousand hands and eyes" in Taiwan. In the back hall of the Zen temple, there is a flower corridor that contains a statue of Guanyin that once stood beside the ancient path. Originally, there were 33 statues, but time has taken its toll, and few of the ancient stone sculptures remain, with the marks on the statues serving as testament to the passage of time. The endpoint of the trail is located between the front and back halls of the Zen temple. If you have good stamina, you can connect to the "Jianshan Trail" from here, continuing towards "Eagle's Peak" and "Jianshan Mountain Range." Alternatively, you can choose to go from the back of Lingyun Zen Temple next to Kaishan Courtyard to the "Hardman Ridge Hiking Trail," and then connect to the "Fenggui Duh Lake Trail" down the mountain, completing a circular walking journey of the Guanyin Mountain Trail system.
