Along Yushi Road, following the signs for "Flagpole Lake Farm" uphill, you can see the "Green Bamboo Shoot Garden Boardwalk" beside the road, which is 400 meters long and allows visitors to observe the ecology of green bamboo shoots. There are viewing platforms along the way offering distant views of the Taipei Basin and the Taipei 101 building. This area is also one of the best spots for eagle watching, where 29 species of eagles can be seen during the transition from spring to summer. In summer, you can observe resident birds such as the Eurasian sparrowhawk, crested serpent eagle, and others. At the Flagpole Lake Educational Farm, visitors can enjoy coffee and tea while chatting, or fish in the pond. The farm also serves a signature dish, "Scallion Steamed Chicken," which has a distinct light fragrance and is very delicious.

Flagpole Lake Educational Farm Introduction

Located in the Wugu District of New Taipei City, Qijuan Lake Educational Farm features a valley terrain, sandy loam, ample sunlight, and moderate moisture retention. The innate natural environment and the diligent farming techniques of its farmers enable the cultivation of the highest quality green bamboo shoots, which have consistently won championships in various competitions. Visitors can observe the ecology of green bamboo shoots, and from the viewing platform along the way, enjoy a panoramic view of the Taipei Basin and Taipei 101. In spring and summer, it's possible to see 29 species of eagles, while in summer, one can spot such residents as the Japanese Sparrowhawk, the Black Kite, and the Eastern Marsh-Harrier. At Qijuan Lake Educational Farm, visitors can enjoy coffee, tea, and conversations, as well as fishing in the pond. The farm also offers its signature dish, "Scallion Chicken in a Bucket," which has a unique and delicate aroma and is very delicious.
