Walking along Yushi Road and following the signs for "Qizhi Lake Farm" will lead you up the mountain, where you can find the "Green Bamboo Shoot Garden Boardwalk" beside the road. It is 400 meters long and allows you to observe the ecosystem of green bamboo shoots. There are viewing platforms along the way where you can enjoy a distant view of the Taipei Basin and Taipei 101. This area is also one of the best spots for eagle watching; during the transition from spring to summer, you can see 29 species of eagles, while in summer, you may spot resident birds such as the Eurasian sparrowhawk, the crested serpent eagle, and the greater spotted eagle. At Qizhi Lake Educational Farm, you can enjoy coffee, tea, and conversations, and even go fishing in the pond. The farm also offers its signature dish, "Scallion-Stuffed Chicken," which has a unique and delicate fragrance and is very delicious.

Flagpole Lake Educational Farm Introduction

Situated in the Wugu District of New Taipei City, the Flagpole Lake Educational Farm features a valley terrain, sandy loam, ample sunlight, and adequate water retention. These natural environmental conditions, along with the diligent farming techniques of local farmers, allow for the cultivation of the highest quality green bamboo shoots, which consistently win various competitions each year. Visitors can observe the ecology of green bamboo shoots, and from the observation platform along the way, they can enjoy a panoramic view of the Taipei Basin and Taipei 101. During the spring and summer seasons, one can see 29 species of eagles, while in summer, birds such as the Eurasian sparrowhawk, Pallas's fish-eagle, and crested serpent-eagle can be spotted. At the Flagpole Lake Educational Farm, guests can enjoy coffee, tea, and casual conversations, as well as fishing in the pond. The farm also offers a signature dish, "Scallion Chicken in a Bucket," which has a uniquely light fragrance and is extremely delicious.
