Guishan, originally named Guitan, is located on the west side of Lanyu's Lingshui Lake and protrudes from the coastline at the southern end. The L19 outpost still silently stands guard on Guishan. Along the coastal area, there is a beautiful beach, and a sandbar extends into the sea, forming a sandy lagoon with a sand spit that returns to the land. The intertidal zone is rich in diverse organisms and ecosystems.
